What we are, and what we are not

We are a software and AI consulting firm. We are not lawyers, paralegals, or legal scholars. The legal judgment in any matter belongs to your firm, and we have no interest in changing that. What we bring is software craft and practical AI experience: choosing the right tools, configuring them with confidentiality in mind, connecting them to the systems your firm already runs, and training your team to use them in ways that hold up.

Most of the firms we talk to fall into two camps. The cautious camp has heard the stories about lawyers citing fake cases and is rightly nervous. The eager camp is already pasting client documents into consumer chatbots and probably should be a little more nervous than they are. Both groups benefit from the same thing: a properly configured workspace, the right tools, and a clear set of rules about what to use them for.

Where AI tends to save time

You will know better than us where it would help most in your practice. Once we have a free call, we will work with you to map those moments. The patterns we see most often are:

  • Document comparison and summarization. Long documents reduced to a structured summary or side-by-side. Your lawyers decide what is material.
  • First-cut drafting. Routine letters, intake notes, and internal memos drafted from a few bullets, in your firm's style. Reviewed and signed by a person before anything leaves.
  • Inbox and intake processing. Long client emails or call recordings turned into structured notes with action items extracted.
  • Internal knowledge search. Helping your team find the right precedent letter or template inside your own document store faster.
  • Time and billing narratives. Cleaner descriptions for the docket, drafted from your work record in your firm's usual voice.

What we recommend against

We do not recommend pasting client information into consumer-grade chatbot interfaces. We do not recommend using general-purpose AI tools as a primary legal research source. And we do not recommend automating client-facing communication. The right configuration uses business-grade tools tied to a tenant the firm controls, with policies the firm sets.

Confidentiality and the configuration

The first part of any engagement is choosing and configuring the right tooling. That usually means a business-grade product attached to the firm's existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant, with data residency, retention, and training-opt-out settings dialled in. Your firm sets the rules. We do the configuration work and document it so the partner or risk manager who oversees compliance has a clear written record of what was set up and why.

Working with the software you already run

Whether your matter management runs on Clio, ProLaw, PracticePanther, Cosmolex, NetDocuments, or something more bespoke, we work with what you have. You tell us how the firm runs. We figure out where AI fits inside that, without replacing the systems your team relies on.

Training that respects roles

Partners, associates, paralegals, and admin staff use AI very differently. The training session is run separately for each role, on the actual templates and documents your firm already uses, so everyone walks out clear on what they should and should not be using it for.

We map your workflows and deliver a plain-English plan: where AI fits, what the setup looks like, and what it will and won't change.

03

Setup & Integration

We help integrate the right AI systems for your business, wire them into the software you already use, and build a prompt library around the real things you do every week.

04

Training & Ongoing Support

A live training session on your real work, 30 days of priority support to keep the momentum going, then lifetime email support so small questions never go unanswered.

Friday afternoon, in the matter folder

A long contract turned into a clean side-by-side, in the firm's own words.

A practitioner uploads two versions of a contract into a private workspace and asks the assistant to surface what changed. The lawyer decides what is material. The tool just makes the comparison fast.

FAQ

Common questions

Are you lawyers? Are you giving legal advice?

No, on both counts. We are a software and AI consulting firm. Anything that touches the legal judgment in a matter is your firm's call. Our work stops at the configuration, integration, and training side. The lawyer in the chair stays the lawyer in the chair.

Are these tools safe to use with confidential information?

When configured properly, yes. The configuration is the entire point. We use business-grade tools attached to your firm's own tenant, with training opt-outs, retention controls, and data residency settings dialled in to match the rules your firm follows. Consumer chatbots are not the right home for client information.

Will this hallucinate citations?

It can, if it is used the wrong way. We deliberately do not recommend AI as a primary legal research tool. It works well for drafting, summarizing your own documents, and processing material you already have. Verification against the legal research databases your firm already trusts stays the lawyer's job.

Will this replace our paralegals?

No. It changes what they spend their time on. Paralegals we've worked with end up handling more matters with the same firm hours, because the rote drafting and document-processing work is faster. The judgment work is unchanged.

What size firms do you work with?

Solo practitioners up to mid-size regional firms. The engagement scales with the team. Larger firms typically run a phased rollout starting with one practice group.

How long does setup take?

A typical engagement is two to four weeks from kick-off through training, depending on firm size and complexity. Multi-office or multi-practice rollouts are scoped separately.

Do you take a piece of the billing or charge a percentage?

No. Engagements are quoted as fixed-fee project work, with optional ongoing support afterwards if you want it. Lifetime email support for what we've set up is included.
